HENRY A. THIESSEN

Henry A. Thiessen was born on November 23, 1891 to Henry and Mary Thiessen in Fuerstenland, southern Russia. They emigrated to Canada in 1903, settling near Winkler, Man. In 1910 they moved to a homestead near Herbert, Sask. He accepted the Lord as his Saviour in his late teen years.

Mr_ Thiessen married Helen Andres in 1917. They were blessed with seven sons and three daughters. Two sons predeceased him, and in 1958 his first wife passed on to be with the Lord.

After nearly six years alone, he married (Mrs.) Tina Braun (nee Schellenberg), with whom he shared four years of blessing. In the spring of 1968 he was alone again. Moving to Clearbrook, B.C. he met and married Anna Rempel. A desire to express his testimony to God's grace with the whole family was realized at a family reunion in Clearbrook in August, 1974. On April 9, after some months of illness, the Lord called him home.

He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Anna; seven sons, Henry, Abe, John, Frank, Bill, Art and Herb; and three daughters, Sally, Anne and Laura.
