MRS. ELIZABETH KLASSEN

The daughter of Henry and Anna (nee Lechner) Hepting, (Mrs.) Elizabeth Klassen was born on March 25, 1909 in Katharienfeld, Russia, near Millerowo. The Hepting family moved to Yarrow, B.C., in 1930. Although she had been baptized as an infant, she was rebaptized upon her personal confession of faith on July 6, 1930 and received into the Mennonite Brethren Church.

On December 19, 1936 she married Kornelius Klassen. The Klassens resided in Vancouver until moving to Kelowna in 1959. Her husband predeceased her in 1963.

After several years of decling health, Mrs. Klassen was called home in December. A funeral service was held December 12 in Kelowna, with pastor Ed Wiebe officiating.
