MRS. RUBY PENNER
After an illness of many years, Ruby Penner of Hepburn, Sask., went to be with the Lord on September 11, 1975. She was born on April 14, 1931, the only child of Mr. and Mrs. John W. Thiessen of Hepburn. She received her early education in Marion School and attended Sunday school in Langham. She accepted Christ as her Saviour at an early age while attending vacation Bible school.
She was predeceased by her mother in 1949 and her father in 1960. She was married to Ernest E. Penner of Hepburn on July 6, 1951, a marriage which was blessed with two daughters and two sons. One child was stillborn. From 1952 to 1957 the family lived in Saskatoon and then for three years at Eston. There she recommitted her life to Christ and on August 31, 1958 she was baptized upon her confession of faith and accepted into the Calvary Baptist Church at Glidden, Sask. In 1960 the family settled on a farm at Hepburn and she joined the local Mennonite Brethren Church. She had many friends in her community who were very precious to her.
She leaves to mourn, her husband, Ernest; two daughters, Connie in Saskatoon and Holly at home; two sons, Blane and Ian, at home; as well as many friends and relatives.
