— Mrs. Carrie Nickel, 72, who was paralyzed in a car accident near Newton last year, died Saturday in a Wichita rest home. She was born to Andrew and Anna Rudiger in 1888 in McPherson County, and lived in the Newton area since her marriage to Jonas Nikkel. Surviving are her husband, three brothers, three sisters and one half-sister. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon in the First Mennonite Church, with Rev. Ronald R. Brannon, Rev. Arnold Epp and Rev. Howard K. Busby in charge.
