— Mrs. Walter J. Schmidt of Goessel died Saturday at the Bethesda hospital. She was born in Hillsboro in 1911 to Mr. and Mrs. Peter E. Hiebert, and reached the age of 49 years. Married in 1933, she lived the rest of her life with her family in the Goessel area. She is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Larry Cook, Mrs. Adolph Smith Jr., and Mrs. Leslie Downen, all of Newton; one son Leroy of the home; two brothers, six sisters and three grandchildren. Rev. Peter W. Goering conducted the funeral services, held Wednesday at the Lehigh Mennonite church. | |||
