Reports Of Many Accidents Over Nation
INCLUDED ARE VARIETY OF FARM ACCIDENTS AND HIGHWAY FATALITIES
The past several weeks again brought many accidents over the nation. The following is a summary of reports from various communities:
Sweet Home, Oregon. — Funeral services were held here May 10 for Ralph Emmert, who was killed by a power shovel while working with a road construction crew.
Altona, Man. — A shadow was cast over the recent high school graduation exercises at the Bergthaler church here when 12-year-old Gerald Klippenstein was killed and his brother Walter seriously injured.
The two youths were on the way to the commencement program when their car went out of control and overturned. The parents of Gerald are Mr. and Mrs. Henry A. Klippenstein.
Henderson, Nebr. — Funeral services were held at the Bethesda Mennonite Church here Friday afternoon, June 3, for April Renae Friesen, 18-month-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Friesen. The little girl was fatally injured when her father was backing the truck out of the machine shed. Mr. Friesen was unaware that she had walked into the driveway.
The funeral services were in charge of Rev. John Gaeddert and Rev. Paul Isaak.
Maize, Okla. — Bill Troyer suffered a severe eye injury when an emery wheel broke and parts of it flew into his face. He received painful cuts in the face and it was at first feared that he would lose sight of one eye.

APRIL RENAE FRIESEN
April Renae Friesen was born on Nov. 16, 1958 to John A. and Leora Friesen near Henderson, Neb. She was consecrated to the Lord at the child consecration service on May 10, 1959. Her all too short life ended on June 1, 1960, when she was only 18 and one-half months old.
In her short life she has left many wonderful impressions with us. In recent weeks she had begun to talk and the few words she had learned gave us added understanding and joy and left wonderful memories. Storytime in the evening and the times she was tucked into bed were cherished and meaningful times for the family. Her sweet, childlike ways were beautiful and drew us close to her.
Her brother, Allen Dean, preceded her in death.
Many happy memories linger with those who survive: Her parents, John A. and Leora Friesen; her sister, Karen Ruth; her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank K. Friesen; her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Aaron P. Siebert; her uncles, aunts, cousins and many other relatives and friends.
