AMISH BISHOP DIES AT AGE 86

Plain city, Ohio. — Noah L. Troyer, a bishop in the Old Amish church, died May 17 at his home on Route 1, Plain City. He had served as a minister for 41 years and in the office of bishop for 20 years.

Surviving are three sons and five daughters and their families. All of the children reside in this vicinity except a son, Dan N. of Millersburg.

Funeral services were conducted at the Troyer residence on May 21.

Plain City, Ohio. — Funeral services were held Saturday, May 21, for Noah Troyer, well known Amish bishop of Madison county, who passed away after a lingering illness.

Bishop Troyer was 86 years old. He was chosen minister in 1898 and elected bishop in 1939.
