Minister’s Wife Dies at Phoenix
Phoenix, Ariz. – Funeral services for Mrs. Barbara Bender, 56 wife of Rev. John Bender, were held at the Sunnyslope Mennonite church here Feb. 6. She died Feb. 3.
The Benders formerly resided at Goshen, Ind. and later at Hartville, Ohio, coming to Phoenix two years ago, Rev. Bender is a minister of the Conservative Mennonite church.
Surviving in addition to the husband are five daughters, two sons, her mother, Mrs. Noah Stutzman of Hartville, and one sister, Mrs. Lloyd Thomas of Middlebury, Ind.
