Crash Takes Lives of Three Young People

FOURTH RECOVERING AFTER TRAGIC ACCIDENT IN BRITISH COLUMBIA

Sardis, B. C. — This community was saddened by a tragic highway accident on Sunday, Aug. 16, which claimed the lives of three area young people.

Instantly killed were Victor Siemens, 17, son of Mr. and Mrs., Adolf Siemens, and Linda Simpson, 16, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. G. Simpson, all of Sardis. Seventeen-year-old Howard Siemens, son of Mr. and Mrs. Len Siemens, died four days late in Chilliwack hospital.

Marion Harms, 16, was seriously hurt but is reported recovering. The car carrying the four young people struck a utilities pole and was completely demolished.

Funeral services for Miss Simpson were held here Aug. 19, while those for Victor Sismens [sic] were held Aug.21 in the Sardis M. B. church. Services for Howard Siemens were held Aug. 22 at Chilliwack.
