Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services for Melvin J. Yoder, 77, father of a missionary to the Belgian Congo, were held at the Eighth Street Mennonite Church here July 30. | |||
Mr. Yoder, a retired employee of the Goshen Milk Condensing Co., is believed to have died Monday evening in his South Eighth Street home, where he lived alone. The body was found Tuesday morning by a neighbor. | |||
Surviving are six children, including Mrs. Russell Schnell, long-time missionary under the Congo Inland Mission. A son, Eldon J., had left Sunday, July 26, on a road improvement project in Africa under assignment of Purdue University. | |||

FATHER OF MISSIONARY TO BELGIAN CONGO DIES SUDDENLY AT GOSHEN
Goshen, Ind. — Funeral services for Melvin J. Yoder, 77, father of a missionary to the Belgian Congo, were held at the Eighth Street Mennonite Church here July 30.
