Florine Wiens,loving daughter and sister, the daughter of Jacob L. and Lena(Penner) Wiens, was born on Oct. 31, 1921, near Owasso, Okla. When she was but a young child she moved with her parents to Hillsboro, Kansas, where she attended the grade school. | |||
As a young girl of about 16 she recognized her lost condition and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour. On May 1,1938, she was baptized and united with the Mennonite Brethren Church of Hillsboro, Kansas, for fellowship. | |||
In 1948 she came with her parents to Reedley, Calif., where she made her home until the very last. | |||
Florine was a very kind-hearted girl, always obedient and submissive to the will of her parents. She had a great love for her Saviour, enjoyed attending all chuch services and took great pride in having an active part in the missionary society work. She possessed a great love for others and manifested a tender devotion to her Lord and Saviour. | |||

BURNS SUFFERED WHILE BURNING TRASH FATAL TO REEDLEY RESIDENT
Reedley, Calif. — Burns suffered March 11 while burning trash at the home proved fatal on March 30 to Florine Wiens, 37, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob L. Wiens of Reedley. She died at a Fresno hospital where she had been a patient since the accident.
Funeral services were held at the Reedley Mennonite Brethren Church on Wednesday morning, April 1.
