Indiana Youth Dies In Fall from Wagon

Berne, Ind. — Funeral services were held to the Monroe community near here for Roman Girod, 15, who received fatal head injuries Feb. 8 when he fell from a load of hay.

The young man, his brother Samuel and Neal Troyer were hauling hay from a neighboring farm when a rope gave way and they were thrown down with the load. The latter two landed on the hay and were not hurt.

The youth is survived by his parents, Enos Girods, one brother and five sisters, and the grandparents, Sam Girods and Mrs. Joseph Hilty.
