Former Business Man At Freeman Dies
Freeman, S. D. — Funeral services for Otto A. Gering, 79, who formerly operated a mercantile business here, were held at the Salem-Zion Mennonite Church, of which he was a long time member.
Death came at the Freeman hospital on Jan. 26, after an illness of several years.
Mr. Gering was born here, attended the local schools, and was associated in the mercantile business with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andre Gering. After their deaths, he continued the business until 1927.
Survivors include four sisters and six brothers. A number of relatives from Kansas came here for the funeral.
