Bro. Fisher was widely known and respected, and was especially loved by children. An estimated 400 persons attended the funeral services.

AMISH BISHOP OF ST. MARY'S COUNTY, MD. CALLED BY DEATH

Mechanicsville, Md. — Funeral services were held in the Amish settlement near here Feb. 2 for John B. Fisher, 69, first and only bishop of he two Amish districts in St. Mary's County. He died Jan. 29 after being ill several years with cancer.

Bro. Fisher was widely known and respected, and was especially loved by children. An estimated 400 persons attended the funeral services.
