Funeral services were conducted Monday afternoon at the Alexandewohl Mennonite Church, Rev. P. A. Wedel officiating. A native of South Russia, Mr. Enns farmed in the Goessel and Canton communities for many years. His wife, the former Elizabeth Schroeder, died in 1954. Survivors include seven daughters; one sister, Mrs. Jacob Unruh of Goessel; 23 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. | |||

JACOB J. ENNS
Jacob J. Enns, 89, of Goessel, Kan., passed away Thursday evening, Jan. 8, at the Bethesda Hospital in Goessel, where he had been taken from the Bethesda Home some weeks ago.
He was born January 31, 1869, in South Russia, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Enns. He came to the United States in 1874 and lived in the Goessel and Canton communities since that time. In 1891 he married Elizabeth Schroeder, who passed away in 1954.
Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. John (Mary) Ratzlaff, Lizzie, Mrs. Henry (Ruby) Wiebe, Mrs. T. C. (Betty) Lehrman, Mrs. Henry (Sarah) Unruh, Mrs. Henry (Hulda) Unruh, and Mrs. Elmer (Stella) Brandt. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Jacob Unruh, of Goessel, 23 grandchildren, and 37 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Jan. 12, at 2:30 p. m. in the Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church with Rev. P. A. Wedel officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
