— Rev. Reginald J. Smith, who was well known in this vicinity through his work as an announcer over Station KJRG, Newton, died at Bethel Deaconess Hospital on Dec. 3 of critical burns received at his home Nov. 23. He was cleaning some clothing with gasoline when the fumes ignited, setting his clothing on fire. Rev. Smith, who was 28, was a minister of the Assembly of God Church. Survivors include his wife and two children.
