YOUNG WOMAN KILLED ON MICHIGAN HIGHWAY AFTER LEAVING BUS
New Haven, Ind. — Funeral services were held in the Amish community at Spencerville on Oct. 14 for Miss Rachel Gerig, 29, who was instantly killed after dismounting from a bus near Sturgis, Mich.
Miss Gerig had gone to Sturgis on a visit, and some cousins were at the bus stop to meet her. They looked on helplessly as she left the bus and walked across the highway into the path of an oncoming car, throwing her more than 100 feet.
