Calico Rock, Ark. Funeral services were held here Sept. 7 for Viola Wheat, 65, who was a pioneer worker on the mission field of the (Old) Mennonite church in northern Arkansas. The services were in charge of Frank Horst, assisted by M. E. Bontreger.

Sister Wheat and Mrs. Maud Douglas were instrumental in starting a Sunday school which was the forerunner of the Bethel Springs Mennonite Church at Culp. She was a charter member of this congregation.

SERVICES HELD FOR PIONEER WORKER IN ARKANSAS FIELD

Calico Rock, Ark. Funeral services were held here Sept. 7 for Viola Wheat, 65, who was a pioneer worker on the mission field of the (Old) Mennonite church in northern Arkansas. The services were in charge of Frank Horst, assisted by M. E. Bontreger.

Sister Wheat and Mrs. Maud Douglas were instrumental in starting a Sunday school which was the forerunner of the Bethel Springs Mennonite Church at Culp. She was a charter member of this congregation.
