Dies En Route To Hospital
Kalona, Iowa. — Funeral services for Sam W. Hershberger, 56, whose unexpected death occurred July 26, were held at the East Union Mennonite Church near here on July 29.
Mr. Hershberger had delivered some farm machinery for his son-in-law, Ernest Ropp, local implement dealer and while at the farm complained of not feeling well. He was taken to the office of a doctor and then was ordered to the hospital, but died in the ambulance en route to the hospital.
Survivors include his wife Cora, who is an invalid as result of a stroke, two sons and two daughters.
