Wakarusa, Ind. — Mrs. Magdalene Hartzler, 77, wife of Simon Hartzler, died Sunday afternoon, July 13, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Hartman northeast of Wakarusa.
She had suffered a stroke there July 6 while attending open house for Mr. and Mrs. Allen Byler and sons, appointed as missionaries to Tanganyika.
Mrs. Hartzler was a member of the Mennonite (Old) Church and taught a Sunday school class at the Holdeman church for many years.
