Retired Farmer, Alsace Native Dies

Metamora, Ill. — Funeral services were held at the Roanoke Mennonite Church near Eureka on Sunday, April 27, for Jacob Noe, 78, retired farmer who had lived in the Eureka community for 35 years. He died at the Eureka hospital on April 24.

Mr. Noe was born in Alsace, France, and came to the United States at an early age. He was married to Mary Oyer at Meadows in 1904, and she died in 1955.

Survivors include six sons; one daughter, of the home; 15 grandchildren and one-great-grandchild.
