Albert C. Bartel, 68, well-known builder and carpenter here, died Monday at the home on West 15th Street after being ill several weeks with a heart ailment. Funeral services were to be held Thursday forenoon at the Bethel College Church, with Rev. Russell Mast and Dr. D. C. Wedel officiating. In recent years Mr. Bartel had been employed on building projects at Bethel College, and also gave valued service in the erection of the Bethel College Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Rosina Gaeddert; two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Ann Giggy of New Windsor, Ill. and Thelma May of the home; two sons, Melvin L. of the home and Lewis C. of Lawrence; two brothers, Heinrich of Hillsboro and Peter of Goessel; and two grandchildren.
