Retired Farmer Dies At Age Eighty-Five
Columbiana, Ohio. — Perry Vanpelt, well-known retired farmer of this community, died Feb. 16 at the age of 85. He suffered a stroke of paralysis about a week before his death.
The Vanpelt family moved here from Harrisonburg, Va. 44 years ago.
Surviving are Mrs. Vanpelt, the former Eva Anne Lehman, six daughters, five sons, 60 grandchildren, as well as two brothers and two sisters living at Harrisonburg.
Funeral services were held Feb. 19 at the Pleasant View Mennonite Church with Rev. David Weaver and Rev. Daniel Witmer officiating.
