Pandora, Ohio. — Daniel J. Basinger, widely known retired farmer and teacher, died at his home near Bluffton Oct. 22 at the age of 83. Funeral services were held at the Ebenezer Mennonite church. Rev. Howard Landes in charge, assisted by Rev. E. J. Bohn.

A graduate of Ohio Northern university, Mr. Basinger taught in rural schools of Putnam and Allen counties for 20 years. He also served on boards of education in this area for 39 years, as a member of the Bluffton College Board of Trustees for eight years, and secretary of the Mennonite Mutual Aid Society for 37 years. He was a Sunday school teacher for about 50 years, and also served as church secretary.

FORMER TEACHER AND FARMER CALLED BY DEATH AT BLUFFTON, O.

Pandora, Ohio. — Daniel J. Basinger, widely known retired farmer and teacher, died at his home near Bluffton Oct. 22 at the age of 83. Funeral services were held at the Ebenezer Mennonite church. Rev. Howard Landes in charge, assisted by Rev. E. J. Bohn.
