Nappanee, Ind. — John E. Hershberger, 79, died at a Mishawaka hospital Oct. 1 from injuries received two days earlier when struck by a car as he crossed U. S. Highway 6 four and one-half miles west of Nappanee. He suffered a fractured leg and internal injuries.

Funeral services were conducted at the Hershberger funeral home Oct. 5, Henry J. S. Yoder and Bishop Mose J. Miller of the Amish church in charge.

His wife, a daughter, two sons, and 10 grandchildren survive.

AGED FARMER STRUCK CROSSING HIGHWAY, DIES OF INJURIES

Nappanee, Ind. — John E. Hershberger, 79, died at a Mishawaka hospital Oct. 1 from injuries received two days earlier when struck by a car as he crossed U. S. Highway 6 four and one-half miles west of Nappanee. He suffered a fractured leg and internal injuries.

Funeral services were conducted at the Hershberger funeral home Oct. 5, Henry J. S. Yoder and Bishop Mose J. Miller of the Amish church in charge. His wife, a daughter, two sons, and 10 grandchildren survive.
