— Mrs. Christine Lichti Schroeder, 83, a native of Germany and long-time resident of the Halstead community, died at a Blackwell, Okla. hospital Sept. 21. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the First Mennonite Church of Halstead with Rev. Roland Goering, the pastor, and Rev. William Unrau of Deer Creek, Okla. officiating. For the past seven years Mrs. Schroeder had lived with a daughter at Deer Creek. Her husband, John Schroeder, died in 1949. | |||
