OLDEST MINISTER DIED AT 99

Scottdale, Pa. — The death last month of George W. Ernst at Chambersburg, Pa. removed the oldest minister and deacon of the (Old) Mennonite church, according to records here. His age was 99 years and 27 days.

A member of the Washington county, Md. and Franklin county, Pa. Conference, he was ordained to the office of deacon Nov. 2, 1896, and as a minister Feb. 9, 1898.
