Pretty Prairie, Kans. — One of this community's pioneer settlers, Miss Frenie Schwartz, passed away here August 18 at the age of 81. Funeral services were conducted at the First Mennonite church, where she had been a member since her youth.
She was born in Russia, daughter of Andrew and Elizabeth Schwartz, and the family migrated to this country in 18174 [''sic'' 1874], settling at Marion, South Dakota. They moved here ten years later.

Pretty Prairie, Kans. — One of this community's pioneer settlers, Miss Frenie Schwartz, passed away here August 18 at the age of 81. Funeral services were conducted at the First Mennonite church, where she had been a member since her youth.
