Berne, Ind. — Peter L. Amstutz, president of the Berne Witness Company, died May 19 at the home of a daughter in Fort Wayne at the age of 88.
He had been associated with the local printing firm for a period of 45 years and was an expert book binder. The company publishes the community's tri-weekly newspaper, "The Berne Witness."
Mr. Amstutz was a lifelong resident of the community and a member of the Nazarene Church, where he was a Sunday school teacher for 70 years. Funeral services were held May 21 at the Nazarene church.
