FRESHMAN IN HIGH SCHOOL KILLED WHEN CAR ROLLS OVER

Freeman, S.D. — Word was received here of the fatal auto accident which claimed the life of 14-year-old Rodney Gross, son of Mr. and Ms. Joe A. Gross of Carpenter.

The youth, a freshman at the Clark High School, was en route to pick up his mother who teaches in a rural school when the car went out of control and rolled over several times.

Funeral services were conducted May 3 at the Hutterthal Church, Carpenter, with Rev. Edward Duerksen in charge.
