He married Margareta Enns but lost his wife and family in an earthquake in Russia. In 1948 he came to Canada. He was married to Anne Born in 1950 in Vancouver. They moved to Yarrow, B.C. in 1954. In December 1972 ill health struck him and though he spent his last two and a half months at home with his family, he passed away on November 3, 1973. The Lord was a source of comfort and strength to him. His cheerful disposition and great faith in God has been a blessing to the family and all who visited him.
