SUSANNA REIMER

On July 10 it pleased the Lord to take to himself Mrs. Susanna Reimer of Herbert, Yorkton, Sask. Rev. Bill Thiessen, Rev. H. Hildebrand and Rev. N. Janz officiated at the funeral in the Herbert Church on July 24.

Mrs. Reimer was born in Steinfeld, Russia on April 5, 1890. In 1923 she, a young widow with one son and three daughters, came to Canada and settled in the Main Centre district. It was here that she accepted Jesus Christ as her Saviour. Later she was baptized and accepted into the MB Church in Main Centre.

In 1926 she was united in marriage with Rev. John J. Kroeker and they settled on a farm in the Leinen, Sask. area. Here they lived for 24 years, farming and also serving the Bethania church. They moved to Herber in 1950 where her husband, Rev. Kroeker passed away in 1962.

In June 1963 she married John J. Reimer of Boissevain, Man. They lived in retirement in the town of Herbert for the past ten years.

Mrs. Reimer was a praying mother who was always concerned about her large family. She leaves to mourn her husband; four daughters: Mary (Mrs. John) Petkau, Herbert, Sask.; Nettie (Mrs. George) Petkau Foam Lake, Sask.; Susie (Mrs. Dave) Loewen, Calgary; Olinda (Mrs. Henry Andres, Herbert, Sask.; four sons: David Klassen, Calgary; Corny Kroeker, Daysland Alta.; Frank Kroeker, Calgary; Danny Kroeker, Ecuador; nine stepdaughters, five stepsons, one brother, 65 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
