ETHEL MAUD CAIRNS

Ethel Maud Cairns was born in 1877 to John and Sara Butler in Midhurst, Ont. She was converted as a young girl. In 1896, she was married to George Cairns, and they moved to a farm at Hampshire, Ont. Two sons and a daughter were born to them.

Ethel did not hesitate to speak of her Lord and Saviour. She attended the Christian Fellowship Chapel regularly. She died on July 1, 1973, at the age of 95. Left to mourn her passing are her brother, Fred Butler; 2 sons, Watson and Walter; 1 daughter, Katie; and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband.

Funeral services were held at the Christian Fellowship Chapel on July 4 with Rev. Peter Klassen officiating.
