Mrs. Anna Peters was born in Kantemirowka, Russia, to Frank and Katharine Janzen in 1909. They moved to various parts of Russia and in 1918 to Germany. Anna attended school there, and that is where she accepted Jesus as her personal Saviour and was baptized on confession of her faith.

In 1923 the family emigrated to Canada and for two years lived in Aberdeen, Sask. where she attended school. Then they moved to the Maymont and Mayfair areas of northern Sask. In 1929 Anna went to Saskatoon to work; she met George Peters and they were married in 1933. The first years during the depression were hard but happy years. The Lord blessed their work, and also blessed them with 3 healthy children.

In 1951 the Lord led them to Terrace, B.C. where they spent a number of happy years. In 1966 they moved to Kelowna where they enjoyed the fellowship with other Christians.

In the fall of 1971 circumstances forced them to come back to Terrace where they again operated their former store.

In December, 1972 Anna had an operation for cancer, but in January suffered a stroke. Her condition gradually worsened until her death on April 21. She was 63 years old. The funeral service was held in the Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Munro of the Alliance Church officiating, since the M. B. church in Terrace is presently without a pastor.

Left to mourn are her loving husband, George, 2 daughters: Mrs. Vic (Eleanor) Froese, and Mrs. Gerry (Margaret) Reinhardt; one son, Arnold, and 12 grandchildren, all of Terrace, B.C. Also surviving are her 4 sisters and 3 brothers.
