ISAAC WIEBE

Isaac Wiebe was the son of Isaac and Helen Wiebe (nee Hiebert). He was born in 1898 in Grunfeld, Russia. Here he also enjoyed his childhood and youth and received Christian training in home and school. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and was baptized in the spring of 1924.

On May 31 st, 1924 he was married to Miss Helena Hildebrand with whom he lived to share joys and sorrows for 46 years unto the day of her decease. Six weeks after their marriage they migrated to Canada and arrived in Herbert, Saskatchewan. They moved to Winkler, Manitoba the following spring an,d finally settled in Kronsgart where they fellowshipped for 18 years.

The family moved to B. C. in 1946 and after a few years in Yarrow they relocated in Vancouver where they enjoyed family life and fellowship of the saints for another 18 years. In 1966 he had a minor heart attack from which he recovered.

In 1967 they retired and moved to Clearbrook, where he lived until October 14, 1972. He suffered a heart attack and passed into the presence of his Lord.

He was predeceased by his wife, Helen on May 26, 1970 and one son Peter and his wife Elvira and two daughters Betty and her husband Henry Penner and Lena and her husband David Abrahams and six grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. Mary Klassen of Vancouver and Mrs. Susan Penner of Paraguay, South America.

We do not grieve as others do who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
