— Twelve-year-old David Penner of Abbotsford, B.C. lost his life by drowning July 17 during a swimming trip with his brother and a neighbor.  Though a poor swimmer, he jumped into deep water in a pool, according to reports of the accident.  Funeral services were held at the Clearbrook Mennonite Church.  He was a son of the Peter H. Penners, Aldersgrove, B.C.
