ELIZABETH WIEBE

Elizabeth Wiebe was born in 1896 in the village of Lippitiche in the Ukraine. She came to Canada with her parents in 1904, to the Herbert district, where her parents homesteaded and farmed. She accepted the Lord and became a member of the Greenfarm M.B. Church in 1926. When her parents moved to Herbert, she joined the fellowship of the Herbert M.B. Church. She has been a patient in the Herbert Nursing Home since 1965. She was predeceased by her parents, five sisters, and two brothers.

Her wish to go home and to be with her loved ones has been granted. Especially did she long to be with her sister Katherine, who passed away only 8 months ago. The Lord saw fit to relieve her of her suffering and took her home on July 9, 1972 at the age of 75 years. She leaves to mourn two brothers, Jake and Henry of Vancouver, B.C. and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held on July 13 in the Herbert M.B. Church with the pastor, Jake Pauls officiating.
