Mrs. Mary Fast Reimer, the daughter of Ben d. and Anna Oberman Fast, was born in Hillsboro, Kansas on June 23, 1890. She departed this life at her home on Route 3, Reedley Calif. at 12:15 p. m. May 11, 1956, to be forever with her blessed Lord and Savior. She attained the age of 65 years. | |||
As a young girl she moved with her parents to Medford, Okla. Here she accepted Christ as her Savior in early youth and followed him in baptism July 4, 1908,at the hands of the Rev. H. R. Voth. | |||
On Sept 7, 1919 she entered holy wedlock with Peter E. Reimer in the home of her parents. Rev. John Lichti officiated. In 1921, together with their first born child, they moved to Reedley, Calif., and became members of the First Mennonite Church. | |||
This union of 36 years was not without its trials, but the joys with God's grace have far overshadowed them. She was a good home-maker and mother. She was loved greatly by her grandchildren. She will be missed much by her family, her husband, Peter E. Reimer, her five children, Velma, Mrs. Frank Willems of Bakersfield, Calif., Eldor of Reedley, Leonard of Fresno, Ruby Mrs. Clarence Watkins, and Grace, Mrs. Bud Meyers, both of Kingsburg, Calif.; nine grandchildren; five brothers, Ben and William of Dinuba, Calif., Reuben of Orosi, Albert and Henry of Sacramento; five sisters, Anna, Mrs. Jacob Gaede of Clovis, Calif., Elizabeth, Mrs. Wm. Neufeld of Medford, Okla., Elsie, Mrs. Bill Sellman of Dinuba, Katherine of Selma, Calif.; and many other relatives and friends. | |||
Funeral services were held at the First Mennonite Church of Reedley at 2:00 p. m. on May 15. Rev. Aaron Epp officiated, using John 17:24 as the basis for his message. A trio composed of Mrs. Aaron Epp, Mrs. Alvin Friesen, and Mrs. John Rogalsky sang two of her favorite hymns, "Rock of Ages" and "Nothing But the Blood." | |||

MRS. PETER REIMER
