Aged Bishop Leaves Large Family

New Haven, Ind. — Funeral services for Peter R. Schmucker, aged bishop of the South Schmucker Amish district here, were held Feb. 16. The services were largely attended by relatives and friends here and from other Amish settlements in Indiana and at Bowling Green, Mo.

Bishop Schmucker died Feb. 13 after a six month illness, reaching the age of 80 years and nine months.

He is survived by his wife, who was Susan Lengacher; five sons and four daughters; 48 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren, as well as brothers and sisters.
