&#8212; Funeral services were held at the Tabor Mennonite Church on Wednesday afternoon for Frank Schmidt, 69, who passed away Sunday night at Bethel Deaconess Hospital.  Rev. H. B. Schmidt officiated.  Mr. Schmidt, who had been in poor health for about 10months, formerly farmed near Walton.  The family home is at 112 Walnut in Newton.  Surviving are his wife, the former Lena Reimer, two sons, four daughters, one sister and five brothers.
