JOHN PETER BROWN

John Peter Brown was born on March 13, 1888 in Altenau, South Russia. He later lived in Ruckenau where he married Marie Hildebrand.

In 1924 they immigrated to Manitoba where they farmed for several years. It pleased to the Lord to take his wife to himself in 1928, leaving four young children. Later he married Anna Schritt. In 1930 they took up farming in Port Rowan, Ont. Upon confession of their Lord, they were baptized and accepted into the Mennonite Brethren Church there. They retired from farming in 1953. In 1966, after much suffering his dear wife went to be with the Lord. Two years later he took up residence in the Vineland Home for the Aged, Vineland, Ont., where he spent three enjoyable years.

On August 15 Mr. Brown went to his heavenly home.

He leaves to mourn two daughters: Mrs. Abe (Mary) Reimer of Vineland, Ont. and Mrs. Henry (Erna) Fast of Port Rowan, Ont.; two sons: Peter and Jacob of Port Rowan; and 13 grandchildren.
