Manitoba Teacher Dies At Age 50
Steinbach, Man. — Funeral services were held at the Bergthaler Mennonite church here July 29, for Henry Giesbrecht, 50, a teacher in the Manitoba schools for a period of 32 years. Rev. P. J. Loewen officiated, assisted by Rev. Ben Reimer.
Mr. Loewen [sic Giesbrecht] was born at Grossweide on Nov. 28, 1904, and began teaching at the age of 18. Although in ill health by the end of the past school year, he completed the term to bring to a close 32 years in the school room.
Surviving are his wife, two daughters, age nine and our, his mother, Mr.s P. H. Giesbrecht, and brothers and sisters.
