Marie Penner, nee Epp, our mother, was born Feb. 2, 1863, at Marienburg, West Prussia, Germany. He [''sic''] parents were Abram Epp and Marie Epp, nee Penner. She received her education in a German public school.

On June 18, 1879, she was baptized upon her confession of faith by Elder David Hamm and was received into the Heubuden Mennonite church.

In 1882 the family, including her father, one sister and seven brothers, migrated to America and settled on a farm near Hoag, Neb.

In 1884, Dec. 18, she was united in marriage with John Henry Penner. Eight children were born into this home, six daughters and two sons. Father died in 1928, when she moved to Beatrice. in recent years her daughter Marie lived with her and her sister and took care of them.

On July 13, 1955, at 5:00 p. m. mother entered her eternal home.

She is survived by six daughters, two sons, two daughters-in-law and two sons-in-law, 25 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren, one sister and three brothers.

MRS. MARIE PENNER

Marie Penner, nee Epp, our mother, was born Feb. 2, 1863, at Marienburg, West Prussia, Germany. He [sic] parents were Abram Epp and Marie Epp, nee Penner. She received her education in a German public school.

On June 18, 1879, she was baptized upon her confession of faith by Elder David Hamm and was received into the Heubuden Mennonite church.

In 1882 the family, including her father, one sister and seven brothers, migrated to America and settled on a farm near Hoag, Neb.

In 1884, Dec. 18, she was united in marriage with John Henry Penner. Eight children were born into this home, six daughters and two sons. Father died in 1928, when she moved to Beatrice. in recent years her daughter Marie lived with her and her sister and took care of them.

On July 13, 1955, at 5:00 p. m. mother entered her eternal home.
