Metamora, Ill. — A long and active life came to a close here June 24 with the passing of John R. Reeser, 91-year-old retired farmer and life-long resident of Illinois. Due to an arthritic condition, he had been confined to bed most of the time the past seven years. | |||
Funeral services were held June 26 at the Roanoke Mennonite church and were widely attended. Roy Bucher and Ezra Yordy officiated. | |||
Surviving are three children, 17 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren, and an aged sister, Mrs. Anna Householder, 95. the passing of his wife in 1954 ended a marriage relationship which lasted for 68 years. | |||
