&#8212;  Funeral services for Mrs. Jacob J. Schmidt, 74, who passed away June 2 at the Bethesda hospital in Goessel, were held Sunday afternoon at the Alexanderwohl church.  Rev. P. A. Wedel officiated, assisted by Rev. H. B. Schmidt.  Mrs. Schmidt, the former Lizzie Enns, has been a member of the Alexanderwohl church since  1897.  She is survived by three sons, Menno E. of Newton, Jacob W. of Goessel and Elmer W. of Canton;  one daughter, Mrs. Ben F. Voth of rural Newton; 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; one brother, Jacob J. Enns, and one sister, Mrs. Marie Unruh, of Goessel.
