Berne, Ind. &#8212; Joseph Hilty, 60, well-known Amish farmer of this community, died suddenly at the farm home on April 24, his lifeless body was found by his wife when she returned to the house after doing the morning chores. He had been in ill health for several years, and death was attributed to a heart attack.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. Hilty are 11 children, all of the Berne and Monroe communities, 38 grandchildren and a number of brothers and sisters.

AMISH FARMER DIED OF HEART ATTACK

Berne, Ind. — Joseph Hilty, 60, well-known Amish farmer of this community, died suddenly at the farm home on April 24, his lifeless body was found by his wife when she returned to the house after doing the morning chores. He had been in ill health for several years, and death was attributed to a heart attack.

Surviving in addition to Mrs. Hilty are 11 children, all of the Berne and Monroe communities, 38 grandchildren and a number of brothers and sisters.
