DANIEL NEUFELD

Daniel Neufeld passed away suddenly at his home on November 11 at the age of 65, after many years of illness caused by diabetes and a heart condition. He was born on September 5, 1905 in Langham, Sask., and early in life he found peace in Christ. He was baptized and received into the church at the age of 16. He joyfully served the Lord with faithful church attendance wherever he resided. One of his greatest joys was in singing, particularly in the church choir during his earlier years.

On December 12, 1929, he married Elma Hiebert, a union to which were brought two children, Lawrence and Kathleen, both by adoption. He was a well-known resident of the Herbert-Swift Current area and endeared himself to many through his varied occupations and friendly manners. One of his great joys was his participation in the local Gideon Camps, acting as the Bible Memorial representative of the area. He was able to perform in this capacity until the day prior to his passing. Friends donated 112 Gideon Bibles in his memory at his funeral.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Elma; son Lawrence; and daughter, Kathleen, and son-in-law Richard Quiring; and a brother and three sisters as weH as a host of friends and relatives.
