—  Word was received here of the death of Dr. Daniel Hirschler, president emeritus of the College of Emporia, Monday night at Emporia.  Dr. Hirschler was a graduate of Bethel College and served as dean of music at Bethel from1906 to 1914.  He went to the Presbyterian school in 1914, serving as dean of music from 1914 to 1941, and president from 1941 to 1947.  he was well known as an organist and organ architect.
