Wayland, Iowa. — Ministers of the Sugar Creek Mennonite church conducted funeral services at the church on Jan. 4 for Christian Unternahrer, 88, who died New Year's day at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Jake R. Roth.

Bro. Unternahrer was born in Switzerland and came to this vicinity in the year 1904. His wife, the former Anna Rediger, preceded him in death. Surviving, besides Mrs. Roth, are three sons, Jacob, Joseph and Noah of this community, several grandchildren and one great grandchild.

EARLY SWISS SETTLER DIED AT WAYLAND

Wayland, Iowa. — Ministers of the Sugar Creek Mennonite church conducted funeral services at the church on Jan. 4 for Christian Unternahrer, 88, who died New Year's day at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Jake R. Roth.

Bro. Unternahrer was born in Switzerland and came to this vicinity in the year 1904. His wife, the former Anna Rediger, preceded him in death. Surviving, besides Mrs. Roth, are three sons, Jacob, Joseph and Noah of this community, several grandchildren and one great grandchild.
