According to the report of the accident a falling limb of a cottonwood tree, carried by a strong wind, struck Mr. Schmidt with a violent blow on his skull and face, causing almost instant death. Mr. Schmidt was born in South Russia May 10, 1888. Funeral services were held at the Mennonite church at Avon, S. Dakota, April 7. |
